Trophy Class Polar Bear Hunts

For many, a polar bear hunt represents a once-in-a-lifetime arctic experience for one of the world’s apex predators. Our hunts are carefully coordinated through our outfitters and guided by Inuit guides who know the land and the animals and will share their arctic lifestyle with you. A fall hunt can be more comfortable weather-wise, and many opt for that. But to get an authentic winter arctic experience, you should consider a spring hunt. We offer hunts in both seasons. It is often possible to combo with muskox and walrus on these trips. We target 9-foot plus bears on these hunts and take bears over 10.5 feet. While they are not currently importable into the US, new taxidermy processes create replica mounts that look like the real thing. We can help recommend a taxidermist for this work.

Places we offer Quality Polar Bear Hunts

We offer polar bear hunts in the Northwest Territories and Nunavut. Our locations and outfitters are carefully selected based on the quality and quantity of animals and the outfitters’ track record of putting our hunters on good bears. We are passionate bear hunters here at Infinity Hunts and understand what it takes to get a big bear on the ground.

Northwest Territories Polar Bear Hunts and Outfitters

We have partnered with an excellent native guide to conduct our polar bear hunts in the NWT.  There is only a spring season in the Northwest Territories, with hunts taking place in February, March and April. The weather is coldest in February, with 8 to 10 hours of daylight. Temperature and daylight hours increase as time progresses towards April. Hunts take place off snow machines with sleds called qamutiks towed behind to get to base camp, then dog teams and sleds while hunting. Bears will be looking for seals and will live near open water. Cabins and small wall tents are the accommodations on these hunts. In addition, muskox, wolf, and wolverine can be harvested on these hunts, making a true arctic adventure.

Nunavut Polar Bear Outfitters and Hunts

Nunavut has both spring and fall seasons. Our guides will use ATVs, side-by-sides, and boats for the fall hunts, as sometimes the bears live on off-shore islands. Bears will also congregate on whale or walrus carcasses this time of year. The weather will be much warmer than the spring hunts. These hunts take place from August to October, and you can add walrus to these hunts in August. Spring hunts are conducted similarly to the spring hunts in the NWT.

We are constantly in the field seeking additional great outfitters and world-class trophy polar bear hunts. So if you are looking for an excellent polar bear hunt and outfitter, please contact us so we can start putting together the perfect polar bear hunt for you.
